If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen me raving about a present that we bought for my mum's birthday this year! Everyone's like "what do you buy the person who has everything!?" and that was literally me. My mum has a lifetime supply of candles, photos, bags, socks... so as we went through the usual list of go-tos...  We we're stuck!

I remember seeing in one of Zoella's vlogs that she had a subscription to a flower service. Now my mum really does love flowers but she always buys them herself before we have a chance to. So I thought a flower subscription would be a great idea for her! That way the flowers would arrive every month and she wouldn't have to buy any herself.

An actual gift that keeps on giving??????

I went onto the Bloom & Wild website praying that there was a gifting option, and there was! Yayyyyy. There's a few different options to choose from and lots of different bouquets! We chose the 3 month option for her with a delivery every month which was £50. I think that's really good for 3 bouquets AND delivery every month. (BONUS. When you sign up to the Bloom & Wild newsletter you get 10% off your first order!!!!!)

Confession: I actually forgot to make this order after we had decided to do it so I rushed onto the website on Tuesday night with everything crossed - the cut off time for next day delivery is 5.30pm and my order went through at about 5.25pm.... sorry mum! BUT Bloom & Wild to the rescue they arrived first thing on Wednesday morning. MEGA IMPRESSED.

The best thing is the flowers come in a sealed box (packaged beautifully may I add) that fits through the letterbox, which means you don't have to worry about waiting in for the delivery. They also came with this little gift card to explain about the subscription.

I think it's safe to say my mum was super pleased with her present this year and she can't wait for her next delivery. It's a 10/10 from me Bloom & Wild!!

- Alfie-Bear being born. After 24 hours in the labour ward holding my sisters hand, I was asked to wait outside as she was taken to surgery. Me... who can't even stand the sight of blood, I made it through labour (not mine of course - not quite there yet lads). And when she came out of that theatre with a teeny tiny little boy, I could have burst!! Being an auntie is the best thing I could ever ask to be.

- Dancing at my 21st party with my mum, my auntie, my sister and my nana. After a crappy year for everyone it was the best feeling to dance and laugh together. Girl power!

- Moving home with my mum and dad this year. Sitting on deck chairs in front of a tv propped up on a cardboard box, eating a Chinese, laughing our heads off at You've been framed. My mum and dad are my actual heroes.

- Watching two of my favourite people get married last year. My cousin and his wife. They are legit couple goals and although I cried my way all down the aisle it was one of the best moments of my life. They FINALLY got the day that they deserved and married as best friends.

- Seeing my Nana and Grandma laughing and crying together in the middle of a busy party, talking about times with their husbands. (not to mention they were so drunk they could hardly get off the couch...)

TAKE ACTION. I've done this every day this week. We really do live beautiful lives.

This was really hard to write because I know I'm going to think of something else as soon as I post this! But I have shared everything that popped into my head. This is such a nice page to look back on because I know by next year there will be so many more things to add to the list. What are your happiest moments??

Rose Tyler (warning this post may be filled with doctor who/Sherlock...).
Rose is the first thing I remember of Doctor Who. I started watching it with my dad when David Tennant became the Doctor. 3 months later Doomsday aired and my heart was broken into teeny tiny pieces. It's the first time I ever remember crying over a TV show. Rose was the coolest person and 11 years on I'm still seriously jealous of her. I'm absolutely sobbing every time I'm re-watching episodes and she comes back to see him. RoseXDoctor ship 4 ev.

11 (Matt Smith)
Although 10 will always be my first Doctor. 11 is my first love. Everything about him was perfect, the story lines, Amy, Rory, fish fingers & custard, the bow tie. I watched every single episode so intently and I think a part of me was on the journey with them. The Power of Three.

Cher. (Clueless)
Not only would I abso love to be Cher's twin but I actually really love her character. I know she's a typical girly girl but I think she's so lovely too.

Will. (Fresh Prince)
I've re-watched the entire Fresh Prince of Bel-Air box set good few times now. It's so nostalgic to me, sitting down after tea to watch this and The Simpsons with my dad. I love Will so so so so much. He's cute and funny and his entire story line  makes me fall in love every single time. That scene with Uncle Phil when they're both emosh, UGHHHHHHH FEELS.

Sherlock Holmes.
He's weird as and I absolutely love it. Being emotionally attached to a character is the best/hardest thing. And can I just say.. what an emotional rollercoaster that finale was!????!

It's the emotion. Not even personality. I can't deal with an emotional story line. But I guess that all of these people aren't afraid to be different?!? Cher literally embraces any outfit and Will.... is whoever he wants to be. Let's be brave!!!

This was a really hard list for me to do, I'm rubbish at picking favourites! I love everyone!!!!

Let me know your book/movie/tv faves... I'm sure I could fall in love with a few more!

Helllllllooo and welcome to my What I got for Christmas post. Major late on the band wagon but I really didn't have all the photos ready but I just love napping too much after work!!?

Regular disclaimer I am not bragging by any means in this post, I'm so super grateful for all of my presents.

This is my faaaavourite candle. My boyfriend did order me this for my birthday in August but it got lost in the post!! Cry cry. So I was really happy when I opened this on Christmas morning. I don't usually like anything rose scented but this is a really light rose smell that goes super nice with the Raspberry. I'll burn this on special occasions so it lasts me until next year. (Hint hint boyf)

Alien is one of my two signature scents... absolute cringe!!!! It's the only perfume that I've found that lasts all day (and more!) on me. My scarves smell amazing! My mum bought me this because she knows I love it and I don't usually buy it myself as it is a more expensive perfume.

I was super lucky to be asked "what do you want then" by my boyfriend this year.... oh that loving tone!! I'd been lusting over this bangle on the Pandora website for ages so I was absolutely buzzing to get it. I chose the Essence one because I love how dainty it is and I thought it would look better stacked with my other Essence bracelets. Pandora jewellery is my favourite so I am one very happy girl with this on my wrist. (Spoiler - read on for the biggest Pandora splurge ever..)

My mum bought me these two books because I loooove cats. I've been dying to read "a street cat named Bob" so this was top of my Santa list. My mum found the other book "Alfie and George" and she said she just had to get it for me. Of course, after my little nephew Alfie and again.. CATS!

OOOHHHHH MY GOD. Legit tears rolling down my face when I opened this from my best friend. I can't believe she managed to keep this a secret from me!  I love love love Kylie's lip kits and she knows I tried to get this but they had all sold out. I can't wait to try out all of these shades. (Possible swatch post???)

So I was obviously really spoilt by my best friend because this was hidden in my presents too!! I've never tried a Too Faced palette before and the fact that this smells of chocolate!? Welllll, does it get much better?

Believe it or not I've never actually tired The Porefessional! I've had ever dupe for this under the sun and I use them a lot, so I'm pretty sure I'll love this. It's nice to have a higher end primer as it feels like I'm looking after my skin a little bit more!

BAE! My boyfriends parents bought me this along with the Naked Basics Palette. This is the best setting spray I've tried and this size is perfect for shoving in my handbag on a night out! My first Naked Basics Palette has just ran out so this was perfect timing. I use it almost every day for my brows. (Swear my brows look a little bit worse every day at the mo... help) Urban Decay, I love you.

This is my fav fav fav fav mascara ever. (My fav did used to be the Collection SuperSize Fat Lash mascara but they recently changed the packaging and I swear they changed the formulae too because it is not okkkkkk!!) After listening to me talk about this constantly for the past few months my sister took the hint at bought it for me. Big sis points!

This was another little present that my boyfriend bought me. As I am a crazy cat lady (with no cat!!!) he always sneaks a cat related present into my bag and as colouring is a slight hobby... I say hobby but what I really mean is "I love to colour in when avoiding real life tasks..."

Looook at this little mug eeeee. Because we're moving back home this year, my boyfriend bought me this so I had a nice new mug to come home with. I swear I have a cup problem! On the front it says "I love you to the moon and back" and he said he bought me the because thats something that me and my mum always say. The inside is painted with stars and moons with teeny tiny space ships. It is literally the cutest mug ever.

Every time we're in Dunelm or Sainsbury's I leg it over to the Kitchen Aid aisle in the hope of persuading my mum to buy one, only to be met with "Megan we aren't having that out in the kitchen looking messy?!" - who's with me on this, please!!?? So when I opened this on Christmas morning I literally screamed, sneaky Karen had bought one all along!! I can't waaaaaaait to use this when we move back home pretending I'm something out of the Ideal Homes magazine (blog pics will be tip top I promise). Thanks mummmyyyyyy!

This final thing was a boxing day present... to me... from me! I just went to have a quick look in the Pandora sale, and was legit panicking when I noticed that the Gold Heart Stacker ring was in the sale. I would never have bought it for myself at full price but I have always loved it. After asking advice from my best friends they convinced me that I should just buy it quickly before it went out of stock (what are best friends for!!)... so I did! It's just arrived and I looooooove it, I'm so so happy with it. It's nice to have jewellery to treasure and even nicer when you've worked hard for it yourself!

I hope you enjoyed this post, make sure you let me know what you got for Christmas!

As I was super lucky to get this just in time for New Year so I'm going to be starting this mini-series on my blog, posting lots of sneaky peeks at my weekly lists!

The 52 Lists Project is perfect if you love really pretty stationary, organisation, AND lists!! My boyfriend got this for me as a little extra present over the Christmas holidays because it was "my kinda thing". And that it is!!!!

It's full of pretty pages with the best list subjects you could think of. I've had a quick flick through and I know this is going to be something amazing to look back on next year.

The book is split into seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. (In my head I'm trying to work out if I've started at the right time for the seasons to fit but.... not quite getting it...)

- Move back home, finally! And help out more around the house, your mum works hard enough!!

We are eventually on the countdown to moving back home. It's slowly starting to look like a house again, rather than a building site. I'm also going to help my mum more around the house,

- Spend more time dancing.

I started dancing again towards the end of last year... I'd only had about 5 years off! Dancing makes me so happy and it's good for me too!! I'm aiming to go to 1 or 2 classes a week. (We'll start off slowly.)

- Learn to drive... or at least make a start!

Megan you need need need to learn how to drive. You owe your mum and dad like 1,000,000 favours & McDonald's trips!

- Start saving. (Stop spending money on unneccessary shit.)

Not that I'm planning on going anywhere any time soon!!! But it's always good to have savings and I really do buy a hell of a lot of makeup on a monthly basis. There's no need!

- Cat cat cat!

The actual only dream I have ever had is to have my own little cat. We had two cats when I was younger and I miss them so so much. Eeeee, I just absolutely love cats. (Love cats! Da da da da da da DAAAAA DA DA DA DA DA DADA!) Name that song!

-We are starting with the driving! I'm sorting my provisional license out ASAP and I AM going to do it!

I hope you loved the start of this little series I'm doing... I'm buzzing already!

MY 2016.

Hello 2017!

I'm not usually into New Years, new beginnings etc. and be quite honest the realisation that an entire year has passed scares the shit out of me. But this year I'm so so so ready for a change. I don't want to say a new start because I'm carrying on from everything that's happened this year, hopefully, a better person.

We still haven't made it home after that little shit, Storm Desmond, but we've finally got a date for moving back. I can't explain the feeling of knowing it's actually happening, it sounds so silly but I really can't wait to be able to sit in my own bedroom or have a bath in my own bath.

I've spent another year in a job that makes me so so happy and may have treat myself a little bit too much on the way but, if you can't treat yourself 24/7 then when can you?!!?

I turned 21 this year!!!!! We had a huge family party and the theme was glitter and princesses (never growing up, sorry not sorry).... we had lots of pink cocktails and wore tiaras - it was the best!

Me and my sister had a weekend away to Portaventura Theme Park in Salou. We had the best time and I've made myself a promise to go back! I seriously recommend it to anyone, we went over Halloween so everywhere was decorated and there was a huge Halloween parade (including the catchiest song I've ever heard... if anyone else has been please agree with me).

We were then surprised with the best news that my sister is having another baby boy. Eeeeeee, a mini Alfie. I can't believe I'm going to be an auntie again, but if I do say so myself I've taken on the role quite well! (Although I do avoid being called Auntie Meg....)

I definitely failed BLOGMAS this year.... but hey 11 out of 24 isn't so bad?? I really want to do well with my blog this year so I need to step up the game!!! Keep your eyes peeled for my "2016 in photos" post, I'm really exited to try a different kind of post and it's been really nice to have a look back on all the things I've done this year.

So all in all, I'm so so grateful for the year we've had. Filled with family, friends & happy happy days. As always, the hardest part is missing the people that can't be with us but I really hope I'm making them proud.

Here's to 2017, let's do thisssssssss!!!!
